Karen BlissMusic journalist Karen Bliss is the Canadian correspondent for Billboard and an established freelancer whose work has appeared in print and online for RollingStone.com, MSN, AOL, Elle Canada, and dozens of other publications. Along the way, she has interviewed Kurt Cobain, Shania Twain, Eminem, Eddie Vedder, Jimmy Page, Lenny Kravitz, Britney Spears, and thousands more. Karen also owns the online magazine, Samaritanmag.com, about people making a difference, and last year released an animated, anti-racism PSA, The Girl With Pinhead Parents, on YouTube, voiced by Nelly Furtado, Chris Bosh, Jully Black, LIGHTS, and others. She is also co-author of the coffee table book, Music From Far And Wide: Celebrating 40 Years of the Juno Awards, and the creator of the book series, Fan Lowdown, which launched with rock band Hedley. She has just formed a record label, Daycare Records, with musician Luther Mallory of Crush Luther.
