On December 17, 2007, True North was acquired by an investment group led by Linus Entertainment, another growing Canadian independent label founded by Geoff Kulawick, former head of A&R for Virgin Canada and creative director for Warner/Chappell Music Canada, along with private investors Harvey Glatt and Mike Pilon. Bernie Finkelstein remains involved with True North as Chairman and long term consultant, while he continues to manage True North artists Bruce Cockburn and the Golden Dogs, and the publishing interest in the songs of Bruce Cockburn.
True North remains one of Canada’s leading independent labels, signing and marketing new and established artists in Canada and around the world.
